Are you ready to bring a piece of nature right into your very own home? Typha angustifolia (Narrowleaf Cattail) is here to become part of your family! Here at our shop we have these amazing plants growing naturally and each order collected by our family is guaranteed to be as fresh as possible. This aquatic plant won’t just look great in any water environment, but also loves being submerged, so don’t be afraid to get creative! Best of all, if you prefer smaller plants then don’t worry - for shipping purposes, ours may be cut shorter without any negative impacts whatsoever on the health of the plant. So if you're looking for an effortless way to bring some nature into your outdoor space, look no further: Typha angustifolia is here for all of your aquatic garden needs.

If you’re looking for something like its cousin Typha latifolia, but just a tad narrower and taller, Typha angustifolia is the perfect option for you! This nutrient-dense plant stands 3’-7’ tall at maturity with 12-16 thin leaves (no more than ½ inch wide) emanating from each shoot. As beautiful as it is hardy, the stalks are topped off with browner-than-your-hair blooms ready to make it look as though you stepped inside a cozy meadow. What's more - don't be fooled by the adorable name! Along with visual appeal comes great edibility; one can eat dormant sprouts on roots and bases of leaves, the inner core of the stalk, green bloom spikes, ripe pollen, and starchy roots. Making this unique Typha head part of your home or garden ecosystem will no doubt spice things up aesthetics-wise - and beyond that? Let's call it an added bonus!

Shipping Information:
We don't want you to have any worries about your plant when it ships! We are a fresh to order nursery so we have no stock on the shelf. This is to allow us to provide you with the healthiest plants we possibly can! We collect and send out plants Monday and Tuesday so they won’t get stuck in the mail over the weekend. We label each species of plants individually with their scientific and common name. We fill the excess space in the package with air pillows and packing paper to prevent the plants from receiving damage during shipping.

Carbon Emission Statement:
We carbon-offset by using recycled boxes and packing material from our local area whenever we can, and as much as we can! As a Fresh-To-Order Nursery it's part of the job to try helping ensure that Earth lasts for generations ahead. While providing beautiful plants in these areas also requires taking care of the plants that grow there. Harvesting only occurs on acres pure untouched marsh or wetlands which provide habitats for wildlife, both now and hopefully for many years to come! It is our mission to preserve these areas.
