Still trying to find the perfect aquatic landscaping solution? Look no further! Eleocharis acicularis, aka Least Spikerush, is right here and ready to help you out of your aquatic woes! Growing naturally around our area, these Bareroots are freshly dug with each order, giving you a grass-like clump every time. Perfect for shallow water irrigation, this plant is only 15 cm in height (with some as short as bogs!). All it needs is a little flat-overlapping of its bracts to reveal deliciously tiny flowers of less than 5 mm in diameter. Not to mention those sharp little spikes that make Least Spikerush so appealing.

🎯 Please Note: The photos represent plants in various stages of growth and are not indicative of the exact plant you will receive. Our focus is on the potential of the plants to thrive, not their size at the time of sale. We seed multiple times throughout the season, so depending on the year, plants may be dormant, small, or just starting to grow. If your plants do not flourish, please contact us for a refund or replacement.
This modern-day marvel of nature is a perennial plant with smooth, round stems that come together to form an oval spike flower at the tips. Ready for its closeup? Just under 1' tall, Eleocharis acicularis can be grown individually or in tight clusters like an underwater turf that’s ankle deep. It’ll add a touch of personality and depth to any body of water, but it’s also quite practical: pioneering wetland species don't come more rugged than Eleocharis acicularis – it’s able to bear fluctuations in water levels like a champ – so if you have situations of large draw downs happening around your ponds or basins now and then, you won't have nothing to worry about!

Shipping Information:
We don't want you to have any worries about your plant when it ships! We are a fresh to order nursery so we have no stock on the shelf. This is to allow us to provide you with the healthiest plants we possibly can! We collect and send out plants Monday and Tuesday so they won’t get stuck in the mail over the weekend. We label each species of plants individually with their scientific and common name. We fill the excess space in the package with air pillows and packing paper to prevent the plants from receiving damage during shipping.
Carbon Emission Statement:
We carbon-offset by using recycled boxes and packing material from our local area whenever we can, and as much as we can! As a Fresh-To-Order Nursery it's part of the job to try helping ensure that Earth lasts for generations ahead. While providing beautiful plants in these areas also requires taking care of the plants that grow there. Harvesting only occurs on acres pure untouched marsh or wetlands which provide habitats for wildlife, both now and hopefully for many years to come! It is our mission to preserve these areas.
